ENVIRONMENT CONCEPTS!

So I've been quite inspired lately to do something other than just creatures and characters (which is what I mainly do during my day job) and work on some environment concepts. AND when I do get to do environment concepts in my day job it always has to have that Greek feel to it. So these are just some personal environment concept paintings I came up with while playing around in a sci-fi world. I had a ton of fun with these and I do have to thank Jung, James, Cecil, and Stephan for the boat-load of inspiration during the past couple of months. More to come...

Hi Andy, I hope things are going well for you! The paintings have lots of movement and mood coming out of them, very inspiring :)

I always, always get inspired to draw environments from James Paick - it seems like he nails it every time! Anyway, it's really nice to see you work on something different; they're super vibrant :)

Anthony, Tony, & jpforjohnpark- Thanks guys for the comments! I appreciate it!

Andrew- haha, it's tough but I was able to squeeze in some painting time after she feel asleep the past week or so. Gotta take advantage of that precious time of quiet => and thanks man! I'm glad you like them. I had a ton of fun doing these.

Gavin- Thanks man, I appreciate the comments! Yeah, I wanted to do something other than creatures/characters. Environments are a different kind of beast. But they're also really fun. It's just not as natural for me. I guess all us artists are wired more towards one direction or the other, huh? But I do want to get better at my weak areas as well. Gotta keep practicing. Oh, and yeah, James is good!

Hi Andy,

Lovely as usual. It seems you are quite busy these day, especially with a little one. I seriously get tired just watching them run around.

But thanks for always posting your work for us to view and enjoy.
