GALLERY SHOW ARTWORK!!!

Hey all! I just wanted to thank everyone that was able to come out to the gallery show the other weekend, and those that wanted to but couldn't (it's the thought that counts)! It was awesome! We all had a blast hanging out, meeting people, and just having fun. I hope to do another one in the future. You guys can check out pictures from the event at the Nucleus Gallery's website. Here's the link:

I wanted to post the pieces I did for the gallery for those of you who couldn't make it. I had fun with these. There was no specific direction I was going when painting these. I just started painting and let the paintings discover themselves. It was an interesting way to work- very opposite to the way I approach my concepts at work, which is attacking things very intentionally, usually with a certain amount of research first.

If any of you are interested in purchasing prints of any of these paintings you can get it from the Gallery Nucleus guys. Here's a link to their prints section:

Thanks guys and gals again! I hope you like...

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the comment on Nemo. I draw it and then tight pencil it. Then you ink the drawings in Illustrator. Bring it in to Photoshop and just drop in the flat colors and then on seperate layers do the airbrushing. Then you color in the linework so the outlines arent black. Thats pretty much it. I actually was going to ask you about your process also. How are you doing these sketches. Are you using one of the default brushes and sketching in black using various degrees of opacity. Or did you create your own brush. The texture your getting looks great. Congrats on the art show. Looked like fun.

Thanks all for the nice comments! Yeah, the gallery show was a blast. Wish you were all there. And for those of you that were, it was nice seeing you all.

Sam- thanks for the info on your process. As far as what kind of brush I'm using. It's either a default painterly kinda brush or it's one I got from the internet- one of the Nagel brushes. There's tons of those you can download and play around with.

Well, thanks again all!
